Marc, Julio, Ezra, Philipp, Huize, Andreas, and Mattis attended the Electrocatalysis 2024 conference in Nuremberg, Germany. The conference aimed to share the latest research advancements and challenges in electrocatalysis, particularly in complex electrode structures. Featuring high-quality talks from international experts in the field, a guided lab tour through the HIERN institute, and some cultural highlights, we enjoyed our time at the conference.

Contributing to the poster session, Philipp Pfeifer presented his research on developing new synthesis procedures for size-controlled crystalline oxide nanoparticles at high temperatures. Ezra Koh discussed his study on the impact of pore structure in materials used as supports for copper in CO2 reduction reactions. Dr. Julio Lourenço shared his research on creating new types of carbon supports from waste materials, which are used to support palladium single atoms for H2O2 electrogeneration. Additionally, Dr. Huize Wang presented his work on producing size-controlled nanomaterials through laser synthesis.

We thank the organizers for the great conference and all the speakers and contributors for the exciting and fruitful talks. We look forward to future exchanges, collaborations, and the next electrocatalysis conference in South Africa!
