This renewal recognizes the outstanding scientific achievements of all participating groups during the first funding period and underlines the high relevance of the consortiumโ€™s research. The SFB aims to further advance iron-based materials as sustainable and widely available alternatives to critical and scarce raw materials.

Our professorship is proud to contribute to this collaborative effort through the subproject C06: โ€œInfluence of the Coordination and Surrounding of Iron-Based Materials on Electrochemical Stability.โ€ In this project, we investigate how the local atomic environment and coordination chemistry of iron influence electrochemical properties, with the goal of enabling more stable and efficient materials for future applications.
